Aegis To Hold First Major Concert

The high notes of this band have really put us at the edge of the seat. The 90s babies surely loved them.

Admit it, you also listened to Aegis songs such as “Basang, Basa sa Ulan,” “Luha” and “Halik” and again, admit you felt goosebumps.

Now, the group will be having its first major concert at the Music Museum this July 23 to 24. Yep, what your read was right, this is actually the first time that the group is having its major concert since it rose to fame in the mid 90s.

The group said this concert, which is entitled “Back in the City”, and along with dance group G-Force, is such a fulfillment of their vow that all of them will hold on each other until they grow old.

“May motto kami, walang iwanan.. Kahit uugod-ugod na kami,” said Mercy Sunot.

“The Voice of the Philippines” finalists Daryl Ong and Leah Patricio are the guest performers of the group. It will also introduce the six-year-old pop singer Zoey Taberna, the daughter of broadcaster Anthony Taberna.

Aegis is band formed in inspiration of band “Rak of the Aegis,” which is composed of siblings, Mercy, Ken and Julit Sunot, Stella Galindo, Rey Abinoja,Rowena Pinpin and Vilma Goloviogo.
