1 Pinoy Died In Pinoy-Indonesian Fishermen Brawl
A Pinoy died in a brawl that happened between Pinoy fishermen and Indonesian fishermen in Taiwan.
The man named “Antolin” was the casualty in the event.
According to Taiwan News, the two parties were sharing food and drinks on the fishing boat Hohung No. 168 at the west coast pier of Kaohsiung Harbor.
When they got intoxicated, conflict started that became graver. A fight, which was allegedly startedby the Indonesians broke. Both sides then grabbed weapons and tried to hit each other.
The Filipinos were outnumbered.
Antolin and a certain Alejandro were chased to the main deck which prompted them to jumped into the water.
When the police arrived, they were able to haul the Filipinos out of the water. However, Antolin was pronounced dead on arrival. Certain Agudera and Bayaua also suffered from head wounds and are now being treated at a hospital.
Six Indonesians, who also sustained injuries from the fight were arrested. The could be fined 200,000 New Taiwan dollars (US$6,665) for damage to the boat.
