Ai-Ai Case Against Jed Salang Dropped

A prosecutor judge dropped the case filed by actress Ai Ai delas Alas against her former husband Jed Salang.

In May 2013, delas Alas filed a complaint against Salang for violating the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court. She also sought temporary restraining order (TRO) against the man.

They were married in April 3, 2013 in Las Vegas.

She also accused the 28-year-old businessman of physically abusing her that led to her decision of leaving him. During a misunderstanding in a hotel, Jed allegedly covered the face of Ai Ai prompting her to struggle and attempt to leave the room. She stopped when the big a apparently black mailed her of killing himself if she leave.

The dismissal of the case came a month after the camp of delas Alas announced of no more interest with the case. In the two-page resolution by Assistant City Prosecutor Buenaluz Jr. noted that there are not enough basis for probable cause against Salang.

The resolution also noted that delas Alas’ camp did not submit any medico legal report and video after she accused Salang of taking videos of their intimate moments.

The two met each other in Opus Restaurant and Lounge in Resorts World Manila in 2012. Jed took her cellphone number and asked Ai Ai for a date the next day. The dating status stopped when the woman found that Jed had a girlfriend and shared child, which was clarified by the man noting that he and that girl was not together anymore. The relationship blossomed leading to marriage.
