Acrobats Injured in Circus Accident – Philippines Daily

At least nine acrobats suffered serious injuries in a circus performance when their aerial apparatus collapsed at 25 feet in Rhode Island on Sunday.

The acrobats, all female of them, were doing a performance in which they were all hanging in midair with only their hair tethered to an equipment. The apparatus  holding them collapsed and hit another performer on the floor.

The acrobats were rushed to a hospital to be treated and doctors declared that none of the injuries were fatal.

The acrobats were performing for Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus show in Providence, Rhode Island,

The next performances scheduled for the day were cancelled due to the crash.

The circus’ parent company, Feld Entertainment is investigating the accident.
