12-Year-old In Cop Uniform Tries To Extort Money From Motorists
A 12-year-old boy in police uniform was caught in the act trying to extort money from motorists, ABS-CBN News reported.
According to Community Precinct 4 chief Jacueline Ta-a, the boy was seen along EDSA Rotonda wearing a complete uniform, with a toy gun and a pad of ticket in his hand. He allegedly caught apprehending drivers. He also reportedly threatened to report the drivers to the PNP Highway Patrol Group (HPG).
The boy told the police that he lives in Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan. He also allegedly bought the uniform in Cam Crame and claimed that he has friends who are members of the police.
“Feeling niya talaga, pulis siya, opisyal siya. Hindi niya tini-treat ‘yung sarili niya na bata siya. Kung makipag-usap siya, pati ‘yung mga lenggwahe na ginagamit niya, parang pulis na pulis talaga siya. Pati nga ‘yung damit makikita mo, proper attire talaga siya,” said Ta-a.

Traffic enforcers in the area said the boy use to appear occasionally in the area where he mimics what the officials do.
The boy was brought to the Pasay City Youth Homes, where he will be assessed by the social workers. The officials are now trying to locate his parents so he can be brought home.
