41 drug dependents finish rehab program in Valenzuela
41 Valenzuela drug dependents are now former drug dependents because they just finished the rehabilitation program of the local government.
The personalities just graduated from the Valenzuela Anti-Drug Abuse Council. “Nando,” a man who considered himself drug-free stayed in the rehabilitation center in Nueva Ecija wherein he underwent counseling and other processes so he will stop using drugs.
Nando won’t come out, not knowing what he will do because, with the help of the government, he will start as a forklift operator.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Nando said when he was still using drugs he doesn’t know what’s respect. But now, he’s proud of himself.
“Dati ang tingin ko sa sarili ko, isa na akong sanggano, walang respeto, walang paggalang. Pero ngayon after ng rehabilitation, pinagmamalaki ko ‘yon. Ang rehab ang tumulong sa akin,” said Nando.
Atty. Bimbo Dela Cruz, the action officer of the Council, said the graduating individuals will still undergo a six-month monitoring and examination outside the facility. It is to assure that their rehabilitation will continue.
