World's Richest Woman Liliane Bettencourt Dies At 94

Liliane Bettencourt, the world’s richest woman died. She was 94.
Bettencourt is the heir of cosmetics company L’Oreal, which is established by her father Eugene Schueller in 1907. She took over the company in 1957 when her father died.
She is survived by her daughter, Francoise Bettencourt-Meyers, who announced the death but did not divulge the cause.
L’Oreal Chairman and CEO Jean-Paul Agon released a statement recalling the deeds of Bettencourt.
“We all had deep admiration for Liliane Bettencourt who has always watched over L’Oreal, the company, and its employees, and who was very attached to its success and development,” said Agon. “Se personally contributed a lot to its success for very many years. A great woman of beauty has left us and we will never forget her.”
Bettencourt has been reported to have dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and had been under the guardianship of her family since 2011.
