Carmelito Ibañez admitted that he is one of the suspects in the Bulacan Massacre during the latter portion of June.
He said he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol when he did the crime.
Now, he said he was just threatened and tortured in order to confess. He said his head was covered with a plastic bag while someone hit his hands with a hammer.
Ibañez noted that he surrendered to the police in fear that they might do something to him.
Central Luzon Police director Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino denied that Ibañez was tortured. He said there were no signs of torture in his body.
Aquino also noted that the agency is now investigating the killings of two suspects identified as Roseveth Sorima and alias “Inggo.”
