Stuffed animals are one of the most common, but still very effective toys for children. Despite they can see it everywhere, they will jump into joy if given with one.

But, for Wendy Bryan, stuffed animals are so mainstream, they are too common and there must have been something as an alternative to them. Then, she came with the idea of stuffed vital organs she dubbed as “dissected Hello Kitty.”

Bryan came with the idea in 2005 after a series of heartbreaks where she use to draw broken hearts. She also noted of her sad organs as she use to smoke and drink a lot during those devastating moments of her life.

Then the company I Heart Guts was born.

“The guts grew from a single drawing of a broken heart, after a string of bad hookups, dead-end relationships and lame-o boyfriends,” said Bryan via the website info. “At the time, I was also doing a lot of drinking and smoking, so a sad liver and bummed-out lung followed. Years later, my wonderful husband wondered, ‘Why don’t you do something with those darned guts?'”

Based on Washington D.C.,the company features stuffed heart, colons, small intestines, brain, kidney and many more. They also have guts drawn in key chains, pillows, t-shirts, periodic table of elements, badges, magnets and a lot more.

Weird isn’t it? But, based on the company’s testimonial area, the products were well loved both by kids and adults.

You can order plush organs via their website or social networking accounts.
