Soldiers Arrested In PDEA Drug Bust In Davao Del Norte

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region XI (PDEA XI) nabbed two soldiers in a drug buy-bust operation in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte.
Nephi Noli Dimaandal, the spokesperson of PDEA XI, said two soldiers, a suspected gun-for-hire, and two civilians posing as soldiers during the November 11 drug buy-bust operation at Purok Talisay, Seminary Drive, Tagum City.
The suspects were identified as Corporal Cristituto Gabino Macagubang Jr., ReyJay Mission, Alvin Aleria Binondo, John Louie Segovia and Regie Impas.
Mission is a Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit Active Auxiliary assigned at the Lasang detachment of the elite Task Force Davao, Binondo and Segovia were civilians posing as soldiers, while Impas is a gun-for-hire. Macagubang is a high-valued target.
During the operation, Impas shot the windshield of the agent after he realized he is an anti-narcotic personnel before running away. This prompted the officials to fight back. Impas was hit by a bullet and then later arrested in a hospital.
Mission was able to escape. However, the next day, he reported for work where he was arrested because his superiors were already notified by the PDEA.
Authorities seized four medium-sized sachets of shabu weighing 5 grams each an estimated street value of P75,000; two motorcycles; and three .45-caliber firearms from the suspects.
