Soldier Killed After NPA Ambush In Misamis Oriental

A soldier was killed after he and his buddy were ambushed by the members of the New People’s Army (NPA) on Saturday in Misamis Oriental.
Col. Alex Aduca, the commander of the 4th mechanized infantry batallion, identified the victims as Technical Sergeant Edgar Andal.
In a report by Davao Today. Andal Rode a motorcycle with Col. Raymart Pamplona from Sitio Dunggoan to Sitio Kamahalan to check the road works after a heavy rain.
A checkpoint was on their way. However, it was not owned by the government. It was then they realized that they were being surrounded by members of the NPA.
“They realized that they were already surrounded by men who would later attack them,” said Aduca.
Though wounded, Pamplona was able to drive away. However, he was forced to leave Andal because he fell after getting hit. He was able to return back to the patrol base.
