Four residents of the Philippines were nabbed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for producing cyberporn featuring minors.
The United States Homeland Security acted like a customer wanting a young girl to perform sexual acts in front of the camera in exchange of money. When the transaction was completed, members of the NBI immediately launched an operation in Pateros leading to the arrest of the men.
Victor Amarillo, one of the suspect, who was caught-in-the-act of chatting with the officials. He admitted the crime. However, he answered vaguely when asked about the amount they pay the performers noting of a “manager” who also manages the financial aspects of the institution.
Atty. Eric Niqui, the chief of the NBI Anti-Human Trafficking Division, said it is obvious that cyber pornography is up in the place where the suspect is using minors for the shows.
Amarillo, in a later interview with the ABS-CBN News, admitted using minors. But, he said that these minors were the people who approached him and he never forced them.
“Hindi naman po ako yung nagrerecruit,” said Amarillo. “Yung iba naman po kasi ipinakilala lang po sa akin. May mga experience na po yung mga yun.”
The officials were able to save a 17-year-old woman, who also admitted performing in front of the camera in exchange of P300 ($6).
According to the locals, they already know about the cybersex den in the place. Some residents even claimed that they’ve informed the nearby police station, but nothing happened.
The suspects are brought to NBI office for investigation. The agency is still looking for other cybersex dens in nearby locations.
