PDEA To Investigate Mayors In Mayor Lopez' Green Book

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) is set to investigate three mayors in Mindanao after their names were written in the green book by arrested mayor Aniceto Lopez Jr.
Lopez is the mayor of Maasim, Saranggani surrendered to the authorities hours after millions worth of shabu was found in his house.
Also found in Lopez’s house was a green book that contains the names of officials to whom he had transactions.
PDEA Director-General Aaron Aquino said three mayors from SOCCKSARGEN (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, General Santos City) were included in the list in the drug ring called El Patron, that was being led by Lopez.
Also included in the list slain Ozamiz City mayor Reynaldo Parojinog, Sr., slain Albuera, Leyte mayor Rolando Espinosa and high-profile Bilibid prison inmate Herbert “Ampang” Colanggo.
“We are closely monitoring the illicit activities of the three mayors who will be the next target of our anti-drug operations,” Aquino said.
According to the PDEA, the El Patron Drug Ring is connected with the local terrorist group Ansar-Khilafah Philippines.
On Monday, the PDEA have filed illegal possession of drugs and firearms and explosives charges against Lopez.
Lopez surrendered as per the advice of his ally Senator Manny Pacquiao.
