The Ozamiz City Police seized 14 kilos of shabu on Wednesday, December 6, in a series of operation in Misamis Occidental.
Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido of the Ozamiz City Police said the seized drugs were old stock of the Parojinog, whose family members were either killed or arrested when they reportedly resisted enforcement in the property they owned last July.
“Lumang supply iyan, pagdating ko sa Ozamis tinago nila. Ngayon lang inilabas dahil nakita nila, na naghahanap sila ng pera at patay na yung papa nila,” said Espenido saying the shabu is worth P112 million.
“According sa nakuha naming information up to 86 kilos iyan last year. Yung transaksyon nila, yung taga-Cebu, magpupunta sa Ozamis, sakay lang ng barko. Ganundin yung taga-Lanao, taga General Santos,” Espenido added.
Earlier, the authorities seized P32 million worth of shabu, a firearm and two magazines from a certain Butch Merino, who was identified as the driver and bodyguard of detained Ozamiz Vice Mayor Princess Nova Parojinog.
The Ozamis Police arrested three individuals after the operation.
