The HDM Global is making a bold challenge to Apple and Samsung with the use of Nokia 8.
With a suggested price tag of around 599 euros (P36,000), the Nokia 8 is definitely a big name in terms of high-end smart phones but lower cost.
The Nokia 8 boasts dual-sight video feature which enables simultaneous live-streaming in social media networks from both front and rear cameras on a split screen. It also has surround-sound audio technology.
The 5.3 inches phone features a 13mp camera for both front and rear. The CPU is octacore while the RAM is 4 gig.
“This is especially meant for millennial creators, people who want to share what’s happening every day,” said Pekka Rantala, the chief marketing officer of Rekka Rantala.
Once world’s most recognized phone brand, Nokia Oyj sold its handset operations to Microsoft in 2014. Since then, the brand has been trying to reclaim its name and has been widely accepted.
It has so far launched four smartphones and five feature phones, including the remade Nokia 3310.
Last month, the HDM announced that its CEO Art Nummela, a former Nokia Executive, was leaving the company for personal reasons.
