Manny Pacquiao Scores One Point

Manny Pacquiao debuted to Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) extended in a game versus Black Water Sports in Binan, Laguna.
The world boxing champion scored a point, grabbed a rebound, but committed two turnovers in the game where the Blackwater won 88-77 in the 2014 PBA Holcim Liga ng Bayan, which is a pre-season for the tournament.
Playing for Kia, the multiple boxing belt holder, played for about 10 minutes. One of the turn over he committed was when he tried to elude his defenders with a crossover and behind-the-back dribble. However, one of the veterans Chris Timberlake was able to read what’s on his mind and successfully stole the ball.
Pacquiao got the irk of many people, specially the basketball enthusiasts when he was announced his intentions to have the role of playing coach for his team Kia for the expansion of PBA. He said that he use to play basketball way back and confident enough with his moves. He added that he used to play along with National Basketball Association (NBA) stars like Charles Barkley and Reggie Miller.
Pacquiao also has this basketball team called the MP Warriors, where he is also a member. The team plays for smaller and non-televised leagues where he use to start and play most of the first quarter, but will sit down for the next of the game.
However, for this PBA Season Pacquiao clarified that he might miss lots of minutes as the currently training for his bout against Chris Algieri where he will try to defend to World Boxing Organization (WBO) title in Macau this November.
Kia and Blackwaters will meet again in October 19 at the Philippine Arena in the opening game of the PBA’s 40th Season.
