Man Found With P9 Million Inside Luggage In Zamboanga

A man about to board a vessel to Malaysia was apprehended by port authorities in Zamboanga after he was found containing an illegal amount of money.
On Monday, Isnajil Sajail was about to board a vessel to Malaysia when he was stopped after the box he was carrying was found with stash of money.
The authorities immediately reported the incident to the Philippine Coast Guard. Sajail was then brought to the Bureau of Customs (BoC) for investigation.
Sajail was carrying P9 million worth of Philippine money. He said he will use it for his buy and sell business in Malaysia.
According to the BOC, Sajail violated the Circular 900 series of 2016 of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilippinas that prohibits people from bring money out of the country if its more than P50,000.
The money retrieved from Sajail was brought under the custody of the BOC. The BSP will decide what to do with it.
