The organizers of Closeup Forever Summer concert might be facing lawsuit regarding the sudden death of five spectators.
Edison and Bibiane, the parents of 18-year-old Bianca Fontejon, who died of heart attack, appeared at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to their testimony.
According to the Fontejons, the boyfriend and friends of Bianca denied that they took drugs during the concert. They also recalled that the concessionaires ran out of branded mineral water. Someone passed then with the brand name “Palace” and drank from it.
Biance collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where she died of massive heart attack. It was noted that the her heart was burnt.
The NBI discovered that the water was laced with drugs.
The Fontejons are also coordinating with the families of four other victims during the concert. They might file charges against the organizers for negligence, said Ariel Rodovan, the legal counsel of the Fontejons.
Earlier, the NBI announced that they arrested Joshua Habalo, on of the personalities who allegedly sold drugs during the concert. Rodovan said the suspects could not have entered the venue in the first place if the organizers implemented strict security measures.
Rodovan said the boyfriend and friends of Bianca carried her on their own. No bouncers who helped them.
The organizers of the concert sought the help of the Philippine National Police (PNP). However, they only provided security outside the concert venue.
