The mother of the late Isabel Granada turned emotional while she was accepting the star of her daughter in the Walk of Fame in Eastwood City, Libis in Quezon City.
Guapa Castro-Granada was along with Isabel’s widower, Arnel Cowley during the unveiling. She cried during the inauguration.
Granada, who was pronounced dead on November 5, 2017, after she collapsed while having a fan meet-and-greet in Doha, Qatar, was a popular teen star during the 1980’s. She began her Showbiz career via the variety show “That’s Entertainment.”
Granada was among the personalities awarded a star on Tuesday, alongside the likes of Matteo Guidicelli, Solenn Heussaff, Karen Davila, Anthony Taberna and Atom Araullo. Also inducted were Empoy Marquez, Jake Zyrus, and Regal Films matriarch Mother Lily Monterverde, among others.
The Eastwood City’s Walk of Fame is a brainchild of the late German Moreno to recognize local showbiz personalities. It was inspired by the Hollywood’s version.
