A group of friends who just got into a happy adventure was faced with a nightmare.
More than 40,000 worth of cash and belongings were taken from a group of friends by hold-uppers along IBP Road in Quezon City on Sunday.
According to Darilyn Bonifacio,19, one of the victims, they just came from a bonding in a resort and on their way home riding two tricycles when five men blocked them.
The men declared hold-up while pointing guns and knives at them. The thieves then frisked them one by one. They were able to take away cash, cellular phones, clothes, and pieces of jewelry.
The thieves immediately left the area and were already away when the police arrived.
The police are now investigating the issue. It was believed that the suspects are the members of the syndicate group who used to victimize passersby in the area.
The IBP road is near Sandiganbayan a place where lawmakers use to gather.
