Four Men Arrested For Oil Smuggling In Navotas

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Bureau of Customs (BOC) arrested four men in Navotas City for oil smuggling.
The arrested individuals are the following:
- Larry Santiago
- Mark June Dela Cruz
- Joemar Delvo
- Levy Manlapas
The group, who has been under surveillance were caught by the NBI agents on the act of unloading the petroleum products from the boat for their customers.
The customers immediately vanished after knowing that the officials arrived.
The four men were allegedly being headed by a certain Rovy Anne. They were riding a boat with the name “Rovy Ann,” which is owned by Manlapas. Seized from the boat were 10 empty containers and four containers filled with diesel.
The NBI and BOC officials went to the Malapas Residence and found several other containers of petroleum products.
The officials said the group was not able to present proper documents when they were apprehended. They will be facing charges for violation of Oil Pilferage Law, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 1865.
