For her final performance, Hale performed Clean Bandit’s “symphony,” where she received a standing ovation from the judges and the audience members.
“Hitting that note lady! Hitting that note again!” said Tyra Hale’s performance.
Heidi Klum described Hale as a small but terrible performer.
“Oh my gosh you are only four feet tall, but you are a giant,” said Klum. “And you know, Angelica, for me, I think you are the best singer we have in this entire competition.”
Howie was also impressed. He said the performance of Hale is one great way to open the show.
“What a way to open this show! This is the finale and that felt like that was the finale! That was the way to close the show, let alone open it,” said Howie.
Mel B, on the other hand, was amazed by the young singer’s confidence.
“You took the stage and you controlled every note. That was just amazing! Absolutely amazing,” Mel noted.
Simon Cowell noted that the song reflected the kid and not an adult dictating the song that she will sing. She got his respect.
“We may be sooner rather than later looking back on this performance to go: This is the moment your career started! Angelica, you have my absolute respect,” Cowell said.
