An American couple is now gaining too many hats off online and offline after they adopted eight children in one go.
Hayley and Mike Jones drastically increase their family of four into 12 by adopting eight children from a Christian orphanage in Sierra Leone in Africa. Mike noted that their first plan was to adopt two to three kids, but “God was telling us both separately to keep going for more and more.”
The Jones Couple always wanted to have a huge family, but due to the fact that Hayley must not conceive a child due to both of her pregnancy ended up in emergency Cesarean Section, the dream remained a dream.
However, Hayley, 31, a school teacher, got inspired to visit Africa in 2010 when she found out that one of her student was actually from Sierra Leone and had been adopted by an American family. Alongside her husband, Mike, 34, the couple fulfilled their dream of having an extended family by adopting the kids aging from five to 16, who are coming from a single family, whose father was killed and brought to the orphanage when their mother was unable to support them.
When it’s revealed that they are going to America for good, most of them shouted out of joy.
“Now we have eight mouths to feed, we have to be careful with money, but we find the most joy from being together as a family – we don’t have to buy expensive clothes or toys to be happy,” Mrs. Jones said. “Our eight new kids were destined to be part of our family, it took us a little while to find them. Now, our family has tripled in size and happiness.”
Hayley has to give up teaching to take care of children. She even happily noted that she had to prepare her family’s lunch right after breakfast. They also had provided the kids, which includes their biologically conceived a mini bus to keep them safe during trips.
Officially the kids are now carrying Jones as their surname. Hayley and Mike spent three years to complete the adoption process.
The kids use to talk to their biological mother via Skype.
