A talent manager filed at least 55 counts of libel against columnist and radio host Jobert Sucaldito.
Erickson Raymundo, the president of talent agency Cornerstone Entertainment filed 43 counts of cyber libel, and 12 counts of grave threats, slander, and libel at the Quezon City prosecutors on Tuesday.
The cases filed were based on the social media claims of Sucaldito that Raymundo was engaged in questionable schemes that rob other artists of gigs and projects.
Several artists under Cornerstone Entertainment, such as Yeng Constantino and Sam Milby, went along with Raymundo to show support.
“Hindi tama na gumawa ka ng istorya. Hindi tama na bahiran mo ng dungis yung pangalan nung mga tao in fact mabuti sa iyo at wala namang ginawang masama sa iyo,” said Contantino.
Sucaldito has yet to comment on the issue.
In 2011 John “Sweet” Lapus filed a libel case against Sucaldito for the report that he went amok inside a bar and forced men to fool around with him. Two years after, the latter retracted his allegations.
