Authorities Arrested Woman Who Extorted Money From An Engineer Saying She Is A DPWH Employee

The Manila Police District (MPD) arrested a woman who posed as an employee of Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The MPD General Assignment Investigation Division launched an entrapment operation against a woman who was extorting money from an engineer and owner of a construction firm in Manila. She was claiming that she is an employee of DPWH and has direct contact with President Rodrigo Duterte.
Malou Pacilan was then arrested.
According to the cellphone video, Pacilan said to the victim his company was chosen as the subcontractor in the expressway project. She then asked P200,000 for the license coming from Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board.
Alexander Rodrigo, the chief MPD’s department, Pacilan will be facing charges in relation to the usurpation of authority, robbery extortion, and estafa.
