Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is now decided; he will run for vice president this coming 2016.
In a news forum on Thursday, Trillanes said he is “100% sure” of running for the second highest position in the land even if his own group, Nacionalista Party, won’t endorse him.
“I am 100 percent sure that I will run for Vice President this 2016,” said Trillanes.
In case he will not be endorse by his Nacionalista, he will still remain. He is however sure that his group, The Magdalo Party-List, will definitely help him.
“What we don’t have in terms of resources for advertisements, we make up for it by expanding our grassroots organization,” said Trillanes. “We’ll just go directly to the people. Hangga’t kaya, we’ll reach out to different LGUs hoping makumbinsi namin sila na we are the better alternative.”
Despite showing poor vice president survey standing, with only 1.1% and behind 10 more personalities, Trillanes said he is not afraid believing that the standing will change upon filing of candidacy.
Trillanes just arrived from the USA, where he underwent short courses on national and international security. He also joined leadership in Development Program that was hosted by Harvard University.
Other NP senators who might run for position are Alan Peter Cayetano and Bong Bong Marcos.
