Adamson Wins UAAP 80 Cheerdance

There’s always a first time… Adamson University Pep Squad is the champion of the 80th Season of the UAAP’s Cheerdance Competition.
The Adamson cheer dancers scored 663.5 points with their almost flawless performance with the tune of the 1970’s hits. As champions, the team took home P340,00.
The Adamson was followed by the University of Sto. Thomas’ Salinggawi Dance Troupe with 638 points. University of the East (UE) ended third with 634.5 points. They won P200,000 and P140,000 respectively.
Defending champion National University (NU) was tied with Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad in the fourth to fifth place with an identical score of 610.5 points.
University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad, which is returning after missing a year for a protest, was along with De La Salle University Animo Squad and the Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion, in rounding up the eight teams.
In the group stunt competition, UP Pep ranked third, Adamson in second and FEU in the first. Best toss went to NU while best pyramid went to Adamson.
